Happy Monday! This week, we’re starting with a little personal news—the founders of Coastal Connecticut Times are moving so we didn’t have the chance to do as much reporting as we usually do. That out of the way, let’s dive into some of the big things happening around the region this week.

In Stamford, the Operations Committee will review plans to pursue a tree preservation and planting program. Learn more about the importance of trees to the region with our piece from earlier this year.

In Fairfield, the Representative Town Meeting will receive an update on the planned work for Penfield Pavilion. Check out our piece detailing the history of this site.

In Norwalk, the Planning and Zoning Commission will discuss updates to the North 7 Master Plan. We recently reported on the plans for the area around the Merritt 7 train station, including the proposed North 7 development.
