Happy Monday! With Veterans’ Day on Tuesday (and the fact that I’m heading to a conference), this edition is a little lighter than usual, but let’s dive in.  

Highlights

  • With work taking place at and near train stations in our region, we invite you to check out our All Aboard series which we update frequently. 
  • On Friday, November 14, interim superintendent Royce Avery will deliver the Bridgeport Unified School Address at 10 a.m. which officials said will highlight district progress, achievements, and future goals.
  • Both the Norwalk Board of Education and the Fairfield Board of Education are meeting to look ahead at the upcoming year’s budget this week. Look back at some of the funding challenges districts around the region faced last year.

  • In Norwalk, the Board of Education will meet on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. and receive an update on the budget development process for this upcoming year.
  • Speaking of budgets, in Fairfield, the Board of Education is meeting on November 14 at 7 p.m. and will be discussing items that are “driving” this year’s budget.
