The What: We're Coming Back!
The What will officially return on Monday, March 17.
Hi everyone! Happy Monday.
I know it’s been awhile since a new edition of The What appeared in your inboxes so I wanted to pop in and say we’ll officially be back next Monday (3/17) with a brand new edition of The What.
It’s been an amazing two months away welcoming the newest member of our family, Charlie Prinz, but we’re (slowly) working our way back to keeping you informed about what’s happening in and around southwest Connecticut.
It’s been busy while we were on break, and we’re excited to have some new reporting and new features to share next week. But for now here’s a few things to note that happened around the region:
- Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling declared he would not be seeing re-election this November and so far at least three people have thrown their hats in the ring to replace him.
- Westport First Selectwoman Jen Tooker announced that she would not be seeking re-election in town and instead announced a run for governor.
- Multiple Bridgeport council members and Democratic Party officials were charged with election-related crimes related to alleged absentee ballot fraud in the 2023 election.
- Norwalk residents got their first look at the plans for Manresa Island.
- The Stamford Board of Reps is once again considering the future of the West Main Street Bridge and if it should be rehabilitated to allow for car traffic.
- And communities around the region have begun reviewing, discussing, and debating their budgets for the upcoming year. We’ll have more on this next week.
Thank you for all the support while we were gone, and see you next week!
