Highlights
This section will give a brief overview of the key items in the newsletter.
- Last week, the first three parts of our series on school construction explored some of the issues in the school facilities, how much it’ll cost to repair them, and what impact that cost has on local cities and towns.
- This week, we have part 4, which highlights some of the ongoing construction projects in the region.
- Norwalk is hosting a Public Hearing on the 2026 Operating and Capital Budgets on Monday, Sept. 23, the first of its kind in the city as part of an effort to get the public involved earlier in the process.
- Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting has a busy meeting on Monday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m. Its agenda includes establishing a cultural district, approving additional funding for the East Trunk Wetlands Crossing Project Resolution and the East Trunk Replacement Project to enhance the town’s sewer system, and updating on how its planning to spend its American Rescue Plan Act funds.
